POUSIO virtual exhibitions . May 2020
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the POUSIO art group, based in Portugal, asked me whether I would like to collaborate on a series of virtual exhibitions, seeking to share the work of young artists to the world during a time of lockdown. It was a fantastic opportunity, and overall featured more than 83 artists.
Description by curator: (in portuguese)
(Duarte Amado)
in english
"Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens explores the deprivation of physical testimony and participation as a crisis or overcoming “normality” as a mediator of the condition of the “real”, of meaning, of the status of experience and the definition of proper places.
Subjects, rituals and objects fall between artistic candidates, artefacts or mere visual properties of the virtual field." (Duarte Amado)
