Sunday at the Zoo

Without much to do and the potential to see the new baby Hippo, Fritz, I bought an entry ticket for the zoo upon waking up on Sunday morning. My goal was to try to arrive before the crowds had a real chance to get there. Unfortunately, it seems like the suburban families of Cincinnati are incredibly organised and I was left trying to find a quiet spot amidst the chaos of children. Nevertheless, I had a wonderful 3 and half hours walking around with my camera, attempting to capture more isolated and intimate photos of the beautiful animals.

Here are some of those photographs, starting with Fritz of course.

A Brief Baltic Encounter - Film

Lithuania is a beautiful country and I was fortunate to be able to visit this year in spite of the difficult travel circumstances. The poem by renowned poet Maironis, titled “Lithuania”, paints a lovely picture of the country and after this visit I can understand why. I am eager to return and see more of the country, as well as explore its Baltic neighbours.

I hope you enjoy this short film from the trip!
